Charisma.com is electro-rap duo consisting of the feisty females MC Itsuka and DJ Gonchi.   The pair have known each other since junior high and formed the group in 2011.   Charisma.com released their debut EP “ ll Syndrome” in July 2013, and immediately raised a stir. While much Japanese rap either apes American hip-hop, or is very Japanese ultra-pop and PC positive, Charisma.com have their own bitchy but funny style.   They go off in an outspoken manner on a number of topics, often critical of social stereotypes and syndromes, most clearly heard in the track “Hate”, which also has a clever, if somewhat dark, video.  They also have me positive songs such as “OL Hero” and “George” (which has a video filmed in a karaoke room.) Both of the members maintain day jobs, which helps provide them for source material for their songs.  Soon after their EP was released they were booked into larger venues such as Liquid Room in Ebisu, and were featured on TV shows and national radio, and even received international press.
